Principaux champs de recherche et expertise

Alain Pierret cumule plus de 25 ans d’expérience de la recherche dans les domaines des interactions sol-plante, de la santé environnementale, de la gestion des ressources naturelles et de l’archéologie environnementale. Après avoir travaillé en Australie, pour le CSIRO, Land and Water, de 1997 à 2003, Alain a été recruté en tant que chercheur à l’IRD en décembre 2004 et a depuis été impliqué dans divers projets de recherche, principalement au Laos et en Thaïlande. Titulaire d’une Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches de l’Université P. & M. Curie, Paris. Alain a été membre de la rédaction de la revue Plant and Soil pendant 10 ans. Il a publié plus de 70 articles scientifiques / chapitres de livres parmi lesquels 55 dans des revues internationales à comité de lecture (H-Index = 19), plus de 30 traitant des interactions sol-racines. Alain a également encadré plus de 25 étudiants, dont 5 doctorants. Ses principaux intérêts de recherche comprennent les interactions complexes entre l’usage des terres et le changement d’usage des terres, la croissance et le fonctionnement des plantes, les cycles biogéochimiques et la dissémination des contaminants bactériens.
